I have OnePlus One, Nexus 5 and Lenovo K3 note right now. Both OPO1 and Nexus 5 are currently sort of sitting idle since they were bought. So I'll focus primarily on Lenovo K3 note. Actually these three were very first Android phones I bought just by a time difference of one or two months. Prior to them I used ( and still using) Nokia E5-00. But that's another story.

So back to Lenovo. By far this is the best Android phone as per my usage. I am a hardcore downloading maniac. Been using this phone for well above 9 months for downloading music through Saavn and videos through YouTube. There are occassional ( rare, to be precise) glitches and freezes and lags. But it never lets me down.

The slow but regular major and minor system updates had made it far much better than on the first day I unboxed it. And oh! Currently I have 240+ total apps installed on this phone including NFS Airborne and Max Payne, still this beast runs like a trophy horse most of the time! Hats off to Lenovo engineers. Although I had configured my phone to use 32GB microSD card as internal memory still the phone have some system limitations to use full 16GB+ 32GB= 48GB as internal memory completely. That's the app dependent feature. But all in all this phone is a true monster given the price point at which it was sold ( ~INR 10K) when it was launched. This phone is far much worthy than the price which I paid for it!

Some very prominent pros of Lenovo K3 note are-

  1. Robust yet simplistic design and form factor.

  2. Powerful Octa Core 64 bit processor.

  3. The total free or available RAM is just 500-600MBs out of total 2GBs of it yet the phone lagging is almost non-existent.

  4. Efficient battery backup owing to 3000mah capacity and amazing SOT of 5.5-6 hours on video loop test.

  5. Still under top 15 on various phone benchmarking tools.

  6. Almost non existent heating issues whether on call or playing heavy games ( heats accordingly if I go on playing heavy games for long duration) .

  7. Excellent noise cancellation due to rear auxilliary mic. Call quality and signal reception is perfect.

  8. One handed use is very easy even after it have 5.5 inch screen size.

  9. Very good sunlight visibility. Color reproduction is superb and screen have got full hd display with 401 ppi density.

  10. Loudspeaker is very crisp and clear and beats are lively because of Dolby Atmos.

Latest Android update have brought TheatreMax VR mode which is an icing on cake!

Though it have some cons too which people complain about but can be neglected considering it's price point-

  1. No headphones were supplied with the phone.

  2. No screen protection like GorillaGlass or DragonTail.

  3. Phone had serious WiFi connectivity and HotSpot issues in the beginning but those were sorted out beautifully with system updates real quick.

So friends, these are my views regarding my phone. If you have this phone please share your experiences too.

Will share my fantastic experience with Nokia E5-00 if anyone is interested!
