The chiclet keyboard is fully backlit, and the back lighting offers two levels of brightness. The keys have the same design as all the brand's other models, with a slightly rounded bottom edge. The keys are well spaced, but the key stroke is a little too soft. Having said that, it was still comfortable to type on. The touchpad is also a good size and recognizes all the Windows 8.1 gestures. Just like the touchpads on all gaming laptops, this one won't be good enough for gaming, so you'll certainly need to buy a dedicated mouse.
