Disappointment is the word for me to describe seson2 of LRL. Except for initial two or three episodes, the series on the whole has let me down . If the first part of season 1 was at least realistic, the season2 started it self as "trio"istic. Yes The major parts of all episodes are filled with the trio, needless to say, Rajveer, Naina, Abhimanyu.

Captain Rajveer Singh Shekhawat: In season1, If he was behaving like a romantic hero of seventies tragedy films, leaning against the wall and crying for Naina, in season2 he looks like a helpless bahu of current saas bahu genre mostly misunderstood and always sulking over the new trust between his friend and his favorite cadet. Still, one good thing about him is he does every thing convincingly and is perfect while playing the mentor and guide to the cadets.

Captain Abhimanyu Chauhan: I feel the word which Alekh often uses for Yudi and Huda suits him the best, "Nautanki" . What can I say about Abhi's ekdum filmi entry, not so funny antics, his "military" haircut or Gaurav's over acting. Gaurav I liked your perfect comic timing in "Dil Kya Chahta Hai". May be it is not Gaurav's fault either coz most of his scenes are like retelecast of old rajveer's. If girls, including Puja were shown going gaga over Raj, now they are for Abhi, If naina was spending quality time in Raj's room, now she is doing this with abhi. If Huda was jealous of Raj now he is of Abhi.

Now comes the back bone of the story Cadet Naina Singh: It would not be wrong if I say Captain Naina Singh. She is the one who is on par with the faculty, is the one who can give warnings to even BC. She is the only mature one among all the cadets, she always has young male faculty holding serious discussions with her at odd times and at odd places. She has all cadets yearning to become her best friends(God knows why), She has cream of the eligible bachelors falling for her, no marks for guessing if you are already predicting a love track between Abhi & naina. the over exposure of this character killed my interest in her. During the breaks when ever they show a small clipping of next part, it is always Naina either with Raj or Abhi, then I only tell myself. "not again".

As we can't have this deadly trio all the time, the director focuses his attention on other immature cadets and not so privileged faculty in a limited quota of. may be five minutes per episode. Some relief! Some times supplements are healthier and tastier than main course. There is no value for a episode. May be they are planning some mind blowing mystery to be unfolded in the next 50th episode, for that they don't mind dragging 49 episodes. So now I have decided to watch LRL on every Friday and update the whole week story. I do recommend LRL, as I really appreciate SAB TV's effort to offer some thing different, though I have zero expectations from DJs. As such there is not enough time given to existing actors, new actors are introduced. Now I heard that every thing is not hunky dory between Vikas Manktala, who plays Huda and the makers and DJs are planning to replace Vikas. I think this going to be a disastrous move as, I feel no one can play the role better than Vikas. Hope both the parties settle the matter amicably as I can't imagine any of the five cadets being replaced. Only the scenes between them are interesting to me and Huda always lights up the screen.

Thanks for reading this review, just one more minute as I found one pro. At last the creative team has done one good thing by introducing music band. Yes the whole set up would have looked convincing if played in a music college or drama school rather than in a military academy.
