O Leela Ei Tu Ki Kita. Review on Leela

Yet another movie to have older women & young teenager boy sleeping together.

IT is another American Indian movie to hit the BoxOFfice

Now with so much popularity of new American Indian movies..this comes as an disappointment.

Shot in the locals of California.

It’s a story about Leela.

Dimple Kapadia a.k.a Leela: Just lost her mother and is married to a poet, Nashad (vinod Khanna). Leela decides to go abroad (America) and tech South Asian Studies in a University.

There she meets Krishna a.k.a Amol Mathre, who is an ABCD, has no idea what India is and makes fun of FOB (for those who don’t know what it means : fresh of the Boat –meaning new Indians in u.s)

His parents, Deepti Naval & Gulshan Groverare both separated. Gulshan Grover is married to a American Lady. Gulshan believes that his son is fine and needs to be left alone. On the other hand, Deepti is worried about her son, cause he doesn’t open up to her….so u wonder..where does Krishna (kris) opens up to..

Yes! its Leela, Soon they become good friends and finds each other sad and confused. Of course, they sleep together, which is called Love these days.

Shocks and surprises Nashad decides to come to see Leela and finds out that Kris had slept with Leela…Leela finds out that she is just a muse to Nashad and not his wife. So she splits with him.

And as for the ending of her life, I have no idea….it is very unsure if she goes back to Krishna or does she liver her life alone…

Now lets explore some thoughts here:

First of, if a student gets involves with a teacher – the teacher gets fired.

And, even if they didn’t fire her…they should’ve taken some actions.

How dare? Leela sleeps with her friends’ son. Ew ew!!!

I feel sorry for all Indian teachers in u.s – this movie proves that you have to have sex to get student interested in studies.

Anyways, all my hopes for this movie were crushed when I saw this movie.

Direction is alright, camerawork is OK, Acting by all is fine …but the story is week, screenplay is terrible, and dialogues…were there any???!

Only plus thing I could really find was the MUSIC!!!! Jagjit & Gulzar team ROCKS!!!

If u haven’t bought the CD …buy it!

And If I see One more movie about older women or young men …I M going to kill somebody!!!! (I m sure it ll be the director or the actress)
