The fully prepaid M.A.P package costed us close to Rs 3500/- per night for a couple. However, we did not find the hotel worth this price on any single aspect.


Upon arrival,  our rooms were not ready for checking in (check in time is 12 noon and we arrived at the hotel at 2:30PM) after a 9 hour drive from Faridabad (Delhi NCR).  We had to wait for almost 1 hour at the lobby before 1 of our 2 rooms could be ready.


When we moved in, we found the rooms stinking, blanket dirty and stained, quilt dirty, carpet and furniture unclean.


Electric kettle was provided but without its electric adapter - so it was of no use. Moreover it was stinking dirty from inside.


The AC system (centrally controlled) was dismal.  After struggling with the controls for couple of hours, we had to switch on the noisy pedestal fan and we could not sleep without keeping the fan on (and this was in the month of Aug).


The towels provided too were moist and not dry. The health faucet in one of the bathrooms was broken and not working.


Welcome drink, fruit basket and mini bar was all part of our package (fully paid in advance). But none of this was provided to us.  We had to ask for each of the items and received extremely poor room service.


Unfortunately we had opted for the M.A.P package with breakfast and dinner included in it.  The restaurant (Waswan) ambience was pathetic, staff sulking and the food quality below average. We were first told that for dinner we could order any 3 items ala-carte but later at night realized that they had shifted to a buffet and we had no choice of our own anymore.  The food quality was not very good.


The remote for the TV did not work well too.


Being upset with nothing seeming right about the hotel, we escalated our complaint to the front desk manager (Mr. Ajeet) and thereafter to the hotel owner too - we received no care from any of them.  They were least interested in listening to our complaint and doing anything about it.


The hotel offered no other facilities (like internet access or a discotheque or children entertainment).


The hotel is also situated quite far from the public lift which you have to use to shuttle from the Cart road to the Mall road.


The hotel provided a safe parking of its own and the valley views from its windows are really good.


Nothing else seemed good about this hotel and we were amazed to discover that it was running at above 85% occupancy.


I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
