I generally had good experience with moving my belongings with Agrawal packers, but this time I chose Lead because I heard they are ok for local move within the city. I was to be proven wrong soon.
Lead was deceptive from day 1. They just dumped everything on a truck without any padding, when asked they said "truck mein padding hai" (apparently the truck walls have padding!?). The real problem with them was that they stacked everything over one another so I had an expensive dining furniture badly broken due to overloading of cartons atop it.
Now starts the best part, on calling their office the lady confidently says that we will send a carpenter to fix it. The packers guys too say in a chorus that we are a reputed company and we will send a carpenter the next day itself. Ok, I made the payment and on day 3 called them again to check what happened with the carpenter.
L: Sir we do not have a carpenter
I: Why then did you mention that you have one?
L: No sir he is a packer who also know carpentry
I: Ok send him.
Day 4:
L: Sir pls get the furniture repaired and send us the bill, we will reimburse.
I: (Wow, what a great offer) I do not want to do that. Just do what you committed, send a carpenter.
Day 6:
L: Sir we are not a carpentary company
I: So what happened to your packer who was a carpenter
L: Sir he has gone to his hometown
I: Ok, you think I should believe you. right?
L: Sir we are on leave today can you call another number.
I: (This is the office number so she is sitting there on leave, cool)
The other number says please call up the office, I have no idea what you are talking about.
I am in no mood to call again and waste my time with these crooks. Writing this so that others beware.
