It’s been almost a year since I'm using this, LeEco Le 2, so I thought why don’t I share my views on this handset. After all user-end experience is what matters, as knowing about a product & using it, both are two different things.

So now talking about the phone here are the specs:

• Price: INR 12, 000/-

• 97 cm(5.5 inch) Full HD IPS Display(1920x1080)

• Octa-Core CPU with Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 chipset

• Android 6.0(Marshmallow)

• 3GB(LPDDR3) RAM

• Dual Sim(Nano), Dual Standby

• 3000mAh Battery with Quick Charge(USB Type-C)

• 16 MP Rear+ 8MP Front Camera

• Sensors: Fingerprint Sensor, Infrared Sensor, Gravity Sensor, Light Sensor, Proximity Sensor, Gyroscope Sensor

• dts-HD Master Audio, DOLBY ATOMS enabled

• first ever CDLA(Type-C) earphones

Regarding my experience, the following key points will come in handy, now talking about the phone, it uses its own stock yet fully customizable UI i.e. EUI & then comes,

DISPLAY: The 5.5 inch HD display when combined with in-built colour schemes is just astounding, probably one of the best among IPS, however it consumes a lot of battery. Had it been AMOLED, it would’ve been a lot better still no offence this is what company provides. The colours are vibrant yet soothing, I usually watch Hollywood movies & anime episodes, it never failed to excite.

CAMERA: If you want to shoot aesthetic pics & cool selfies, it’s right for you but be careful of artificial lightings/ low light conditions. Like any other mid-range phones, it also provides Full HD video recording in 4k, 1080p, 720p, however, I personally didn’t find any difference b/w 4k and 1080p, leaving memory factor aside. Having a premium feature like SLO-MO makes it value for money, though video quality is not that decent but it’s really exciting & comes in handy. I’m not a very big fan of photography but pics, specially selfies come out really good.

STORAGE: Having 32GB of internal storage means there’s always a scope for more apps, more songs, more videos, more pics, also 3GB RAM makes multi-tasking easy & more fun(5-6 apps can be handled easily), however, there’s no slot for SD card so no extra storage but it never came in my mind. 32GB is not small, I never managed to fill it completely, I’ve 400+ songs, 6+ videos, 100+ pics, 30+ apps & games etc. still I’ve 11GB free.

SOUND: It's a pro that the speakers are pretty loud, yet a compromise with quality. Though it has equalizer as well as DOLBY ATMOS but enabling them leads to a lot of tearing like sound. Regarding earphones, the sound quality is simply incredible provided the adapter should be plugged in since, the phone doesn’t have audio jack which is a con because you can’t listen to songs & charge at the same time. Call quality is good too. It also supports VO-LTE.

GAMING: Now comes the main part on which I focused the most before buying this handset, well it comes with SnapDragon 652 octa-core chipset which is the most powerful chipset in mid-range, yet for some reason my gaming experience was a bit laggy. I've played Gangster Vegas, N.O.V.A. 3 & Dead Trigger 2 so far & all of them happen to lag a bit. I don’t play heavy games now but only COC(Clash of Clans), the experience is just phenomenal.

BATTERY: I guess there’s some issue with battery for some vague reason, it drains quickly. In my experience it never managed to outlast long, on heavy usage it can last up to 3-4 hrs max, so I’m often forced to carry charger & look up for charging points. It supports quick charging that I had lost a long time ago.

EXTRAs: Other extra features like Fingerprint Sensor, IR blaster, Wi-fi, Bluetooth etc. make it worth purchasing. Fingerprint Sensor reacts quite fast(3sec), it also comes in handy while clicking selfies & for other security purposes. Remote control is a plus point too, it’s a pretty decent replacement for typical remotes that we use daily. Gyroscope sensor helps in VR & is fun. It has Compass too that I don’t use too often. Now coming to Wi-fi, it does support both 5GHz & 2.5GHz bands which is quite cool.

After handling this phone for one long year, I’m pretty much happy with its performance, however, there were times when I used to regret over it yet it never demeaned me. Recently I had installed few custom ROMs after getting bored from EUI, they worked fine but were buggy, so I switched back. And yeah! there’s some bad news related to the company, they are facing financial crisis due to which the products like this are facing. It has been months since last OTA update. So if you want to buy this one please take this into account before doing so. In the nutshell the phone is really awesome & those small-small features make it a great value for money & worth purchasing.

Ok farewell then…….
