The new LeEco Le 2 is the successor of the Le1s. The phone has a 1080p display at 403ppi and bezels are reduced to the bare minimum. Even in bright daylight, the phones brightness capabilities keep it usable. The colours are good and contrasts are balanced, impressive for a phone at this price, comparable to the Redmi Note 3.

This device is the first in India to have Qualcomm's Snapdragon 652 SoC clocked at 1.8GHz under the hood coupled with 3 gb RAM. Its quite a performer with daily tasks working like a breeze. The Adreno 510 handles resource intensive games quite up to the mark, normal users should'nt care for more.

The Camera is a 16MP snapper on the back which is quite underwhelming in terms of picture quality. For a 16MP camera it is quite mediocre at its best. The pictures lacked a seroius lot of texture. Low light images are a mess unless you have MAGICALLY steady hands. 4k shots lost some contrast. The 8MP camera at the front does its job alright.

I loved that they have gone with CDLA. The bundled earphones take advantage of CDLA and when playing high definition audio, you will notice the difference in audio, which is noticeably better than standard analog audio on the same track. The huge setback is the absence of the 3.5mm jack, which is a bold yet foolish move for LeTV. There is only one port in the entire phone, which happens to be the USB type-C port placed centrally between two speaker grills at the bottom. Although the type-C has its own advantages but the entire responsiblity of handling inputs is quite an issue. To use most micro-USB devices, adapters are needed. Addition to it is an audio adapter, the 3.5 mm jack would have solved it easily.

Le2 has a fingerprint sensor in it but it isnt fast as the competition and sometimes needs retries to unlock. The absence of gorilla glass or similar protection is sad to see.

To conclude, its offers blows with the Redmi Note 3 at the same price point, but overall the Redmi Note 3 is a better balanced phone over it. But it isnt a bad phone, just a little down in competition but not very far. If you have the money, feel free to try out the LeEco Le 2, it sure wont disappoint you!
