Hi, When I decided to go for Mauritius, first thing which came to my mind is which hotel to choose ? I read some reviews in the internet then I found that only few rest is having good Indian Veg food so then I decided to go for Le-Meridien.
I was worried how the hotel service and food because I paid more for this package but when I reached there I was welcomed with nice drink then I requested for a 2nd floor room for a great view of the sea and they gave me a Nice room right away ! I felt nice because they didn't say no.
Later we enjoyed the Spa and some water sports which were complimentary in our package ! I got Red wine, Fruits & T-shirt, winter wear (ladies) as freebies from the hotel! Now my fav part Regarding the food I was really happy that they have separate section reserved for Indian food and it is close to pool so location is very good. Daily there used to be the lot of changes in the Indian menu and quality is good.
Since I was veg so I didn't know how are other food courts like Italian, Sea food etc.. but I heard its nice from my other friends. Regarding the Breakfast they had almost 20 to 35 types of items available for Breakfast you will get lost like what to eat and what not to !! there used be 15 types of Breads!
(Green, brown, yellow .. etc..) all were very fresh and there used be some Indian bf daily available so you can enjoy Puri, upma, idli etc.. Room service was very good and clean they used to keep the room very clean and safety was also taken care so you don't have to worry leaving your room with some valuable items.
But the general service like shifting the baggage from outside to room and while checking-out was not good I have to remind them so many times and they didn't come on time! That's one thing I didn't like.
There were some stores near by the hotel where we got some water, food for good prices. We also enjoyed candle light dinner there. Totally good experience :) Overall its a nice place to stay in Mauritius.
