Having lived in kolkata for the last 30 years i never had the opportunity to visit lawrence & mayo. It was on 05 mar 2010 that i visited their secunderabad showroom (andhra pradesh) and purchased the following:
Optical glasses / frame - rs 2220/- optical glasses (sunglasses with power) - rs 1480/- RayBan glasses - rs 4245/-.
While i collected item (2) on the same day (as same was for my wife's use) she was not satisfied with it, and when i collected item (1) on 08 mar 2010, i informed the same to dr moupali ganguly and she informed me that as per the usual practice, it would be "difficult" to have the same exchanged as it had moved out of your inventory!! However she asked me to visit the store, along with my wife, and she/store attendants would see what could be done.
I as was travelling to Chennai & bengaluru from 09-12 mar, i visited the secunderabad showroom on (sat) 13 mar 2010 in order to exchange the rayban glasses, only to be told by the "manager" that nothing could be done as per the "company policy".
I really wonder how lawrence & mayo has been "setting trends since 1877" in this manner!
