Future Paradise. Review on Lavasa

About Lavasa:

Once done Lavasa will be a man made paradise.  Lavasa Township is a grand concept and I believe they will stick to their promises but will definitely take time.  You can visit there site https://lavasa.com to have a look at their plans for future city. They have plans from school, colleges to hospitals, hotel, Villas many more.  It will be a beautiful city.  But right now you can only see construction going all over.  Each and every part is delved they are cutting down the mountains spreaded across 12500 acres area.  They have built there own huge dam. After Chandani chowk the roads are developed by them because of which the roads are awesome. Fun to drive one can enjoy smooth and safe driving.  What I liked most is the convex mirror they have put at turnings so you can see the vehicle coming from the other side.

The city is still developing so nothing to see around. Just the construction work.  They have good boating infrastructure with water scooters, cruise boats.  One can also enjoy trekking at nearby forest or even having a stroll around the hotels is also a good idea.

Stay and Dining:

There are three hotels in Lavasa now. The Fortune Select is the most expensive. Large and opulent, it comes alive in the muted lighting at night.  There is the Waterfront Shaw which consists of serviced apartments.  The Waterfront Shaw has one restaurant.  Both of these hotels face the waterfront. The Ekaant Retreat is the third hotel.

We had booked Fortune the rooms are spacious with high class interior. The food in this hotel is delicious with varied varieties.

Reaching Lavasa:

It takes 4 hrs. drive from Mumbai to Lavasa.  Just load the map from their site and move over the wheels.  You can blindly follow the map. After Chandni chowk its ghat till you reach the hotel. Even inside the Dasave gate from where their property starts(that what I believe but they have made road from the beginning of ghat itself) there is all zig zag road for atleast 10 min. to reach the hotel. Drive safely no rash driving.  For safety they have put convex mirrors which is a good idea. The road is not at all crowded so easy to drive.  Only con what I feel is there are one or two sign boards on the roads and no board about the hotel direction after the gate.  Luckily we saw few people at the construction plant and checked with them.

Investment:

It’s a good investment.  But one should have passions till 2025 to have a look at the whole township as they have promised.  Before making investment have a good study about the project as it was an agricultural land to my knowledge and major stake is of a political leader and his relatives. Still I feel it will be a good investment.  They play movie about the investment plans, it’s a good idea.

To sum up one can visit Lavasa once for a weekend. Right now except from boating and trekking nothing to do at all.
