Story:

It was September 18, 2007, when computer science professor Randy Pausch stepped in front of an audience of 400 people at Carnegie Mellon University to deliver a last lecture called “Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams” With slides of his CT scans beaming out to the audience, Randy told his audience about the cancer that is devouring his pancreas and that will claim his life in a matter of months.(courtesy, website)

Randy's life was one that will inspire people. Even in his last lecture rather than advice, he went in for giving accounts of how he fulfilled his dreams. Its awe inspiring.

The book which is based on the same principles he applied to living, is a thing of beauty- To read and to learn. Each and every chapter is about enjoying life to the fullest and not being stuck with despair.  Achieving his dream of being a Disney Imagineer to floating in zero gravity to meeting "The" Captain Kirk of Star Trek, is all captured in "The Last Lecture". The reason I don't say much about the the book for very simple reason. I want you to read it!  Read and appreciate Randy's life and the things he believed in. would like to thank   soldier  of fortune for pointing that out to me in his comments and which made me add this line as an afterthought.

He breathed his last on July 25th, 2008 due to pancreatic cancer. His legacy however remains for generations to follow and learn.

I am grateful to the shop owner who suggested me this book.  If any of you get a chance to pick up this book, let me know your thoughts on it. Happy Reading
