A clear North Indian Touch, and the authors completely ignored South Indians, except for the Coasts, Hampi and Kishkhinda. For all the authors cares about it, the North-East Probably doesn't even exist. The Authors More concerned about the Continuity of Indian Civilization:The Chakra, The Lion, People adding there names to Ashokan Pillars, and Indians have a sense of Civilizational Identity and History.A few parts, for example those about the Saraswathi and the Trigonometric Survey, are thought Provoking-and might lead to a serious bout of googling or Wiki-ing.
The Title and cover are Misleading, and I wouldn't suggest this book if one wants to know about the History of India's Geography or Indian History or Indian Geography.
