Whats more can I say about the movie I am in love with? I have watched it more than 50 times and every time it seems better than the previous time.

I remember when I first hired the video for this movie... I was quite hesitant (17 years old that time) as I was told its a boring movie where a father marries a daughter!!! Had I not seen Lamhe that time, probably I would have never realised what it means by great movies.

Each character is special in that movie.

Sridevi looks so different in both the roles, as glamorous as any one can be and she is lovely in her performances. I don't blame Anil Kapoor for falling head over heels win love with her. I think thats what any sane man would do. Her performance was flawless and the character was perfectly depicted.

I think Anil Kapoor's role was restricted to some extent as the focus was more on Sridevi. Anil kapoor is phenomenal bot as the 18 year old as well as the middle-aged businessman. I wonder how he lost the Film Fare award to Amitav (Hum) that year.

Waheeda Rehman was simply stunning. Especially when she dances to Aaj phir jene ki tamanna .... old times come back hundting.

In my opinion, Anupam Kher was the highlight of the movie. I don't have words to write on his performance in this movie. The man is amazing. He is the one who holds the storyline together, plays the role of the anchor, friend, middleman and everything else one can think of. From a very serious moment at one scene, changing to commedy the very next moment.... what a performance. Ironically he got the best commedian award that year... not best actor in a supporting role!!!

An extremely strong storyline, with equally good direction and editing, lovey music, fitting choreography (especially Morni baga ma...) and the unforgettable diloguse..... mesmerising!!!

The 10 best moments of the movie:

  1. When Anupam Kher & Sridevi water the plants

9 When Anil Kapoor meets Sridevi (Pallavi) followed by the title song

  1. The 3 slaps before Sridevi (Pallavi)'s marriage

  2. When Anil Kappor brings the grooms' pics for Sridevi (pooja)

  3. The excahnge of dilogues between Sridevi (Pooja) and Anita on the sweater

  4. When the young Pooja runs after Anil Kapoor's Car

  5. The parody song... especially when Waheeda dances to Aaj phir jeene ki....

  6. When Anupam Kher meets the second Sridevi (Pooja)

  7. The exchange of dilogues between Anil Kapoor and AnupamKher near the climax.

  8. The song.... Morni Baga ma bole aadhi raat ma
