In one of the recent occasions, I was expected to send a courier to our associated company in China. Quite obviously I looked with various courier services and found DHL / Blue dart as a very costly option to choose and at the same time found DTDC a very cheap option and as per the desk operator’s information it will reach in 3-4 working days maximum. I have chosen DTDC services.
As a regular practice I have started checking the courier status from the day 2, it shown courier in Mumbai ready to deliver. Even after 6 working days also when it is showing the same status on web First time I have checked with them. They mentioned they will check with Mumbai office and call back. Even after two more days the status is same and there is no call from them.
I have started following up with them. Each time when I call a new guy or girl will take the call and say the same process and finally no result. After a month also courier has not reached and I was not getting any information. I have checked through internet to reach their head office, then I noticed that I am one among umpteen number of victims of DTDC international services.
Again patiently I have followed up with their head office for another 2-3 months. Always we have to reach them wake them up about our courier, they say they woke up now surely then are going to get it delivered but next time when we call the status of the delivery is same and story repeats. I have noticed there are thousands of cases fighting to get reimbursement from DTDC.
However I have made one more set of the documents and send it to China office now with one of my colleagues who is going there.
