We stayed in this hotel last week. The reservation was done by an agent and we had already paid room rent so there was no other option but to stay.
This was one awful stay at Lallji Tourist Resort. Dalhoussie. The maintenance is almost NIL. The rooms, toilet everything is filthy.
The approach to hotel is scary - once the car is parked you have to climb quite a lot to reach the reception. this climb is not in steps - badly designed ramps and a few steps. It is quite difficult after a long journey. The day we arrived, they were laying slabs - it was a mess to climb up.
Once you reach reception and move towards the staircase to the rooms, you would see a filthy area next to staircase dumped with towels. you reach the room and then the real disaster. the room is partly covered with carpet which has neve been cleaned in ages. the mirror is on the floor so u need to bend/ sit on floor to use it. the beds are another put offs - they don't even provide a bed sheet on or under the comforter (rajai) - pillows are just too bad...
now the bathroom - dirty, full with water, flush doesn't work....
The menu is in bits and pieces - never cleaned or dusted. You will never want to open it or pick it up.
for a second u wonder if u r in a haunted house or in hotel for which the min. fare per night is 2K + tax.
The tea charged at 12 per cup, came in discoloured and almsot broken cups - tea was full of tea dust!
The terrace is another dirty messy area. you can't spend any good time there too.
Somehow the one night ordeal was thru, the next day morning we wanted to check for morning tea before we checkout - the restaurant was closed and around 8:00 am or later the folks that were sleeping in the restaurant started getting up.
The charges are reasonably high and the service is almost like a dhamshala standard - probably worse!!!
Their online marketing is high fi and once you checking there - you realize the mess it is.
if u compare it with pictures in web, nothing would match.
We asked folks around about this hotel, and heard that this was not one of the good hoteld in town.
Don't opt to stay here. Grand view was a recommended hotel to stay in vicinity of bus stand.
Summary - don't stay here.
