Lakshya was made by Farhan Akhtar and this is his second movie after Dil Chahta Hai. The advertisement and the star cast was really so that it was great. Regards the storyline of this it was based on true incident - the Kargil war.
The entire sequence of events right from the time Hrithik's carefreeness till the time he takes his training in the army, his running away and Preity Zinta reminding him of his Lakshya and he rejoining facing the consequences of running away when he returns to training camp and how he becomes an army officer. Very vividly described and very nicely shown.
After that the actual war being enacted till he reaches the peak at 28000 feet to achieve his goal was really very beautifully shown. This movie right from start kept me glued as firstly the songs were just great, secondly based on true story did not show anything extra to make a person who is watching the movie feel bored at any point of time.
It makes you realise a very stark reality that we in cities are enjoying life just freaking out not contributing anything to our Indian soldiers who are defending the country putting aside family life keeping this lakshya in their minds.
