Lakshya, happens to be Director Farhan Akhtar's second movie after the ultimate,''Dil Chahta Hai''.And also a prime reason which dragged me to watch it second day first show.

The cast: Farhan's made up a good cast and seems so that nobody other than the magical Hrithik-Priety duo could have fitted well in the respective characters of Karan Shergill and Romila Dutta.Others like Big B and Om Puri could have been placed better in the cast. But all over a good cast.

The visual:Whatever is left in the cast is made up for in the amazing locales and scenic picturization of Dehradun and Leh where most of the film is shot.Even the songs have been done beautifully with a visual dimension to them adding to the hummable tunes ''badaulat'' the masters Shankar-Ehsaan -Loy.

The story:Shows great ''state of mind'' act of a youngster Karan who has no clue what he wants with life(this is a reflection of the many youngsters who would have identified with the character just as I did, minus the sheepish looking haircut). Its been dealt with nicely but somewhere in the end it turn sout to be just another war movie. A must mention,Lt.Karan Shergill and his troop picturised rapelling an almost vertical mountain range, fab and well done (effects or no effects). Also the ''Farhan '' way of making things look real casual on screen really appeals. Romila Dutta on the other hand has been underused in a Journo role, Priety could have been the major player with a bigger bite in the role given to her. Also Boman Irani has a few dialogues here and there as Hrithik's ''Tum kuch nahi kar sakte'' kind of dad. All in all individual performances have been great but together the movie lacks a charm which could have come with a better script perhaps.
