From last one year I was getting sunburns and blemishes very frequently,as my outdoor activities increased than before. My face used to look very oily if I used some oil-based moisturizer. I was searching for a good water-based one which I can use after taking bath,as well as while going out without looking oily and dark. For last few months I am using this Lakme Peach and plum daily glow moisturizer,and now I am quite satisfied with the product.
The moisturizer contains original fruit extracts as they claim,and it's not at all oily. Few drops are enough to moisturize the face for at least 6-8 hours if you are being exposed to outdoor activities. I didn't monitor the 12 hours effectiveness,I can't tell about that. It has the sunscreen property so you can apply it before going out also. My advise is,don't apply it immediately before going out,just use half an hour in advance to get it absorbed properly into your skin. Then press the skin lightly with a facial tissue to absorb excess oil and you are ready to go out. It's best to apply after taking bath and before going to bed. You don't need any night cream if you use this product properly. Daily 3 applications are best suited to my skin-type,but I think 2 will be sufficient for people in the humid climate.
It 's applicable after cleansing the face with Lakme after-sun cucumber and lemon grass face wash, especially when one is back after a long exposure to sun and dust. The face wash gives a refreshing feeling and the moisturizer nourishes your skin,the effect you can feel immediately. The best property of this lotion should be its effectiveness on pimple blemishes and sunburns. The uneven patches on my face came back to the normal color after I started using this,and I got no more blemishes or pimples. My skin even looks fresh and younger now, the dull and dark looking skin changed a great amount after I switched to this product.
Like other Lakme products, it's also a bit costly. For 55ml it costs Rs. 75 and for 100ml it's Rs. 130. But I think it's wise to invest a little for your skin......after all your skin is worth this much pampering,I believe! Rather than wasting on different products, I would prefer to go for this single moisturizer,it makes the skin smooth and glowing.
Only one thing about this product I didn't like,it smells bad! For the first time I used it,my hubby literally ran out of the room saying,"Ugh! Lady,this lotion STINKS!" Can't help the smell,now he also has got used to it. So beware,this can act as a repellent if you are on a romantic date!!!!!!!!!!!
Finally I would like to say,it's better to stop experimenting and sticking to the product that suits you the best. Frequent changing of beauty products can cause much harm to the skin. Finally I found the moisturizer that suits my skin, and I am quite happy about it.
