Ease of Use:

SNAP SHINE SPRAY

I cant believe they have actually named it what it really does to your hair...that’s right...it makes your hair snap. Imagine applying a layer of fevicol or glue to your hair...that’s the exact same result you would get when you use that goddamn snap shine spray. Forget about shine...you'd lose whatever luster your natural hair had.

What the hell were they thinking when they brought this product into the market?!?!?

Being a Lakme fan myself, just a few months back I was all praise for their Matte Effect range of products and had written laurels about it in this very site.

But now I am very sad to write how bad one of their other products is. , I am very very disappointed with this snap shine spray. I am not sure about the snap shine shampoo and conditioner as I haven’t used them.

Two weeks back I bought the spray from Shoppers’ Stop in Bangalore hoping and dreaming to have shiny hair whenever I needed. The first day I used it, all my dreams were shattered. I was in for a shock when I saw my hair all stuck together and hard and brisk…just couldn’t run my fingers through it. And when I tried to brush it to separate the hairs that are stuck together… they just broke. C’moooonnnnn …. I just hope it was a dream. For a moment I wondered if it was really a lakme product.

Immediately I called up Shoppers’ Stop and asked if I could exchange the spray with some other Lakme product, and as expected they said No. Next I checked if there is any phone number of Lakme so that I could speak to them. Nothing given on the product. Checked their website…no number there either. There was a suggestions/feedback form available on their website, so sent them a mail stating the problem. No response till now.

How unprofessional of such a reputed company. Aren’t they bothered about how their products are received by customers? Aren’t they concerned about customer satisfaction? Are they concentrating only on how many pieces they sell off irrespective of how it would eventually spoil their reputation?

This is the age where customer is treated as king. The top brands in the US do anything to satisfy their customers, retain them and get more customers through them. They give samples to try out before the customer could buy the product. They have helplines so that the customer can talk to them in case of need. Still if the customer is not satisfied, they are more than happy to refund for the same. Leave alone US, brands like Loreal and Garnier have the same setup here in India. Last time when I had a query regarding Garnier’s hair color, I called their helpline number, but it was after their office hours. I was so pleased when they called me up the next day to find out what the problem was. How sweet! I think its time Lakme learnt something from these brands and concentrate on customer satisfaction.

Finally…my advice to readers here is, DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT and avoid spoiling your hair and wasting your money.

p.s: if someone from Lakme reads this and gets back to me and solves my problem, I will be more than glad to take my words back and write good review about them.
