I am not a make up fanatic (Kajal and Lipstick are NOT make up!). Until now I had only used my layman knowledge in painting the faces of hundreds of unsuspecting school children before functions (I am a school teacher). Two things kept me away from using it myself -
1)The time taken, the mess, the trouble
2)The fear that it would show or worse make me look caked up
Two situations I faced recently had no escaping it. One, being my own sisters wedding, where I was actually caked up in the parlour. Second was a cousin?s wedding in Meerut where I tried to do it myself. Electricity in Meerut fluctuates like the bulbs on the railway station weighing-machines (no stabilizer in the house) and so I could not see the results of my lengthy endeavour.
A few friends suggested that I try the Lakme Soufflé. I picked it up only recently and have become an instant fan!
The traditional make up requires a coat of foundation (mixed with moisturizer/ cold cream) and then a layer of compact/ powder. Quite a messy affair!
Lakme soufflé (In three shades Natural Shell, Natural Pearl, Natural Marble for different skin tones) requires you to dab it a little on your face and rub it. That?s it! No fuss, no grease and all over in three minutes flat! At Rs 90 it is very fairly priced. When I wore it, the skin glowed and the friends who complimented could never guess that I was wearing make up! Now this what I call magic?make up without making you look made up.
