The kajal is deep black.very smooth, but not like crumbly smooth. The one might even be smoother than the colossal kajal.It glides on very well, but still in a firm way. I have oily eyelids and any non-smudge kajal smudges on the lid after say 4 hours.but this one wore for at least 8 hours and I can say that the 10-hour and it did not sting my eye a bit and I think the dermatogically tested claim is absoultely correct.This is very smooth and black this one stays on my oily lids for longer than the maybelline one.This kajal is softer yet firm and waterproof as well All kajal lovers, get it now
