Herd people saying, "It’s a great movie, you must watch it"; "it’s better than the previous one". I always have the feeling that Bollywood can not make two movies on the same idea. Where as there are successful trilogies in the movie space - "Matrix", "Star wars", etc.
Comedy would have been really good, if they could cast Bapu Ji's soul in the movie. They tried to show a Bapu Ji factor in a common man; by supporting logics that are not applicable commonly. Even, this Bapu Ji factor is not properly pictured. The background music and the plots are just pricking sentiments in people. It seams that the movie is made for common man, who is frustrated by politics, administration and system. A weak man rather. Analytically, if some one sits down and count, the number of jokes and humors in this movie, are far lesser than the previous one. Why? Mr. Arshad Warsi is given fewer scenes in this movie, as apparently he was dominating in the first one.
Both Munna Bhai and Luck are shown to see Gandhi Ji’s soul, after reading some books in the library. Does it mean that people would start making such kind of impressions, if one starts reading books written on Gandhi Ji? “Lage Raho Munna Bhai” is a shear Mockery of “a common man” and “Gandhi JI”. I consider this against the law. Honestly, I am not at all entertained by the movie.
No one, with a living muscle up in the head would agree to the point that we all have to follow Gandhi Ji’s principles as it was laid during the struggling period of Independence. If we start implementing the principles as they are, then it means that we have not progressed even a bit in our lives. And we are living in the same pre-independence situation. Bapu Ji was smartest of all at that time, and we have to understand and inculcate his ideas and principles in our lives. If you read any of his biography by any of the writer, you would realize how much there is to learn from this man. You would begin to portray him as one of the greatest politician, motivator, leader and social worker.
I don’t consider this a movie at all.
