Hi,
We purchased the washing machine after much debate on whether to continue employing a maid or buy a WM, and decided the later.
Reason : Avoid dependency on ever changing maids.
Cost 21,000 Rs.
Delivery : Behind schedule by 2 days.
Installation: It needs a special 1 (or 1.5) inch Tap and a 15 AMP power point, If you dont have these, they would cost you extra and needs to be fitted for the unit to be operational. (2 days delay - No 15 amp power point).
Accesories : Cover (Not required). This was torn during delivery. replaced by dealer and this cost me one more trip to the dealers (Vivek's in bangalore) place and some shouting to him about quality and how I wanted to by Home theater and that I have dropped the idea.
Service : The service guy comes and fits the machine and since we did not have a 15 Amp point he says he would come back if there was a problem, tells me fix the plug and the machine should start running. explains to me the basic options on the panel that I need and goes away.
fortunately for me, the machine works fine.
I have watched it work couple of times just to make sure every thing is okay.
So far so good.
NOTE: If your clothes shed color, you need to be very carefull.
I am not using any special detergent - currently using RIN advanced and works fine
BOTTOM LINE: Responsibility of washing (and maintaining the WM) clothes has moved from the maid to me.
I dont know whether to laugh or cry.....
