I am a long time reliance user and have used many handsets ... Reliance has its pros and cons depending upon your pattern of usage.. for me it works just fine.
I bought the Moonlight phone as a gift for my girlfriend.. it seems an ideal phone to be gifted to a female.
Its sleek , easy to use and its asthetics are good ( and its not that costly too.. err.. I hope my gf does not read this!!!!)
You all will have read the specifications and the features everywhere ( if not, read it from reliance here..
https://relianceinfo.com/Infocomm/html/whyrim/lgrd2130.html )
I will tell you what I felt when I used the phone ( I had tested it thoroughly of course.. had to give it to my gf... it would have been a capital crime if she found out some flaw/defect/inconvinience in the phone!)
I will describe to you what she needed in the phone and then by comparing your usage styles with hers you can find out if the phone suits you or not.
her requirements are
1) the phone be sleek and appleaing
2) the ringtones should be ok ( at least better that the LG RD 2030.. the most popular reliance model)
3) The phone should have all the facilities in RWorld ( Some prepaid handsets cannot take full advantage of RWorld like the Nokia model of reliance .. and some do not have RWorld at all like the LG RD 2230)
4) She needed customizability in the phone and needed the ''profiles'' feature found in all the Nokia handsets.
5) Good smsing capability
6) should not be a frying pan after talikng for half an hour ! ( almost all reliance models heat up quickly an d become very hot after 30 - 35 mins of usage... so we call it the frying pan!)
7) Should be durable
Now what I found out was
1) The phone be sleek and appleaing
Definitely. Also it had a side scroller buttons (like the samsung b&w model of reliance the sch-n191)
The keys are neatly laid out and are good to press. Someone like me who has large fingers may have a bit of a difficulty using it .. my for her its fine as she had thinner fingers.
2) The ringtones should be ok
Once an LG , always an LG.. so goes the saying. Although the ringtones will not make you tap your feet tot their tune.. but they are much much better than the previous LG models
Also you can download 3 sms tunes from rworld to customize it too! that's a first among anyreliance model.
3) The phone should have all the facilities in RWorld
As I have mentioned before due to its multimedia and java capabilites it can use the full RWorld without a hitch.
4) customizability in the phone and needed the ''profiles'' feature found in all the Nokia handsets.
Yup these features are there. You can modify almost all features of the phone and play around with
various settings
5) Good smsing capability
the buttons are ok. It has a T9 dictionary ( the one found in almost all phones nowadays except motorola phones) and smsing is a breeze in this phone.
It has support for group messaging and can store a max of 50 smses in its memory
6) should not be a frying pan after talikng for half an hour !
ahh... well this model is more of a hair-dryer than a frying pan..... it does heat up but not to the extent almost all reliance phones do.. my poor gf will still have to use the handsfree for conversations with me ( they are long)
7) Should be durable
It certainly looks durable.. I have had it for two weeks now and it seens that it is durable.. the body construction feels sturdy and does not twist or creak. The keys also can take punishment
After two weeks of my gf using it ( and she is rutheless with phones) it has survived intact. Thus I feel it can take punishment from anybody in the world!
In short a good phone take .. provided you want to use reliance ( which is a highly controversial quesiton in itself!!)
