The new LG Q6 is a beauty, but will that be enought to compete in a fiercely contested segment?
Here is my review,
In a price concious market like India, it is anything but it is very hard to compete in the price segment of 15000 INR, it is the mid range price segment which demads high performance at low prices. It is a segment which is dominated by Xiaomi, Lenovo and now LG has launched it's latest smartphone LG Q6 which is prices at 14, 990 INR.
Let's get started,
Sound Reception : LG Q6 has got small speaker at the back. The sound reception is not at good, while playing games or watching movies in your hand, the speakers always gets covered up which degrades the sound. As per the performance too, the speaker is not at all good, if are a listener who loves to hear music at high volumes then this may be not the one for you, at high the sound suffers distortion, which is very disappointing.
User Friendly : LG Q6 is also equipped with the same LG's typical UI which looks like a cartoon theme, UI which don't even have a app drawer, but there is an option to download home ( UX 4.0) in the settings menu, which brings an app drawer.
Style & Design : This is the field, which the device is all about. It got a bezel-less 18: 9 ratio 5.5 inches screen, which is secured with Corning gorilla glass 3, and the edges are made up of 7000 series alluminium which is quite strong, I tried to bend the smartphine with my hands but I failed very badly.
Other Features : It have a 13 mp rear camera and a 5 mp front camera both with 2.2 aperture. The rear camera is good as it gives you clean and crispy images but the front camera is the room for improvement, pictures taken from the front camera are noisy and yes it's disappointing. It is equiped with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB ROM and it have Snapdragon 435 chipset.
Look & Feel : The front is super glossy and strong but if we talk about back then its is made up of plastic and a strong magnet for fingerprints, the back plastic is curved so that it fits easy to your hand.
Value for Money : If you are a person, who is looking for a phone with great screen which you can tell to your friends and with a decent camera then this phone is only for you but if you are looking for a phone with high performance then this phone may disappoint you. It is a mid range smartphone which is prices at 14, 990 INR.
