The likes of nexus has started to enter into countries like India and now google is readily selling with with all its power to the customers. LG has been a popular underrated brand often seen by google selecting as its partner for making Nexus devices.
Nexus 5x a successor to Nexus 5 with all its better looks carried forward to this device is definitely a winner at price it is offered. Most e-commercesites are offering it just under 20000 ruppess for 16 gb variant which is the best deal for this device so far. And as you progress with the review you will find it worth your money.
Specs: Snapdragon 808 1.8 Ghz, Adreno 418, 2 GB ram, 5.2" 1080p Lcd panel, 2700mAh battery, 12.3 MP 1.5 micronpixel camera, 5MP front camera.
Build Quality with sturdy and rigid body the plastics are top quality and tend to look up-class yes not as much as the metal one looks but it make the device lighter to hold and grippy as well. And I appreciate LG opting for plastic body design with mat rubberized finish where ever necessary thus making the device much easier to grip, and feels premium to hold.
Design the design is some what carried forward from the NEXUS 5 but new color schemes make it much more better and since the body is plastic the heat dissipation is good and with snapdragon 808 device do feel warm near the camera but not hot which is a plus point compared to Moto x style.And no under-throttling of CPU is seen or felt.
Performance With vanilla UI of Android the device feels good and very snappy to use and since I myself is the fan of stock android UI I find it great overall over other skinned android UI. The software is buttery smooth but still I feel some memory management issues with Android 6.0.Gaming is spectacular with adreno 418 Gpu No lags what so ever seen even on Graphic intense games also since it got only 1080pixels to push.
Security Since android not very secure as compared to the likes of Apple iOS but with frequent security update google is fixing it. But with the addition of finger print sensor Called imprint security by google is a nice addition to Android(though I dont like its placement at the back)
CameraThis is the best bit carried forward from nexus 6p the area which lacked on nexus 5, But the hardware is Great though I Miss OIS on it the camera software offered by google simply fails the purpose of it. The App is slow sluggish even on Android 6.0 and I have missed many shots due to the slow nature of app.(hopefully google will fix it)
Battery Since the device has LCD display its normal for it to drain to much but thats not the case here the battery hold up good and just about a full day of backup which is adequate for me(even with hard usage). And with Doze feature of Android 6.0 It gives better standby time.
Display Lg went for IPS lcd display which its makes best(even iphone have LG made lcd displays) which look better to me than the amoleds one as they give me more natural color and not over saturated, but this can be upto you totally, and I find the display best for me with good viewing angles sharper text and trust me display with 1080p and above I am not quite able to make much of the difference there.
AudioYep thats bad hear with the likes of dual speakers all around the nexus 5x struggles here its audible but doesn't offer much on quality and is sort of flattish to shrill to sound. but I can totally live with this mono speaker anyways. As I have got premium headphones. And the microphones have some problem which is similar in case of Nexus 6p too the sound is not clear to the person on the other side whether its on netwrok or VoIp calls.
