Hey, I have a 16GB Nexus 5 and I find that it drains pretty quickly when I am playing with Apps, but it does decently if just scrolling through the web. However, if I leave my house with it fully charged and go hiking or go spend a day doing whatever, it always lasts the whole day with power to spare, but if I plan on wasting time playing games on it at work or anywhere else, then I make sure I have a way to charge it half way through the day. But still a great working phone, I really like it, have had it for two years.
Happens if you jump from a newer version of android to older and than back to newer. I jumped from lolipop to kitkat and back to lollipop and no updates were installed. I recommend you to download latest factory image and flash it on your device. Worked for me.
