When I went to the shop and asked Asif, (that's the shop I buy all things from) he straight away replied LG because the after sales servuice in bangalore. Apparently they have 5 as compared to 1 or 2 like other brands. So after sales will be good. I relied him like the past experiences and went for LG.
Now, the million dollar question comes as to which model and why. Videotronics at KRPuram, bangalore has fair bit of collection. They have other showrooms also. The person showed me different models and make, but as per Asif's advise I sticked on to LG. Lastly, got really confused as to which one to buy. So went straight at the counter, spoke to Girish and asked him my wife pointed out a big Black radiogram type box, what's that? What are the features and price?
He started laughing and without explaining me the details told me to pay 14,100 (one of the best prices I later compared) and told me to close my eyes and take it. It was LG8083. He handed over me the manual and I paid the cash and came home relaxed. That's the history of my buying the model. Videotronics never recommended me a wrong product.
Thereafter I started reading and comparing various products, at the same time was comparing the functionality.
I cannot compare this with other products, since this is the only type I am operating now. But I liked it. So is my wife.
I can do Tandoors.
I can bar-b-q
I can heat my food
I can make cakes
I am learning various prepartions through it's cookbook
Free gift of some microwave cookware
It looks like an old radiogram
The dialer is good feature
Buttons could have been repositioned wisely
No problems as of yet,
Power is max 900W, could have been more
Steel coating interior is good, with anti-bacteria coating
cannot operate it illegally, it won't allow
The LED is self explanatory and tells you what to do.
Considerable auto cook options
Convection/grill functionality
combi feature makes crisper food
Autocook doesn't work well, as per my exp, might need to use the manual one, with experience
So in a nutshell I am happy and will recommend the product to anyone buying a new one. Do not try to be a PhD in microwave and go for this one. Troublefree, decent one with all features.

PS: It's 7 years now. This model is still going on perfectly without any problems. It's probably one of the very few models which still exists. There must be a reason that LG is still continuing it. Price range is a bit high, still the same, but you will never regret.
