I bought this Microwave a little over a year back. Apparently the product was very impressive with elegant look and wide range of cooking options. Also it came with some complimentary cook ware, a nice recipe book and some seasonal discount.
However, the pain started after we started using it. Primarily we were using it for warming foods, grilling and convection. For grilling and convection, performance was not good and heating was uneven, leaving food over burnt as well as semi cooked at places.
A month back the microwave went dead. That is just a little over a year from the date of purchase. We registered a service request with LG customer care and after several follow ups the service guy came after a week. He found that the main circuit is out and need to be replaced. Gave us an estimate of about Rs 2000/- and said that we must take annual maintenance contract(AMC) immediately. He was more interested to sell the AMC, rather than repairing the oven. Anyway, he left assuring us to come back with the spare part in a week. Now it has been a month.and the oven is still dead. We have contacted LG customer care and the dealer(Vijay Sales, Pune) several time, in this one month. However, all in vain.the oven is still dead!
With my experience I would rate LG very poorly for its product as well as service. I will never buy any LG product in future, and would not recommend.
