I recently purchased this Window AC. It was installed By professional people from carpentry to wiring. which cost me around Rs.3000. It has a remote.It is 1.5ton.
Though for the room 1.10 was sufficient, I went for a higher tonnage because the room is exposed to direct sunlight during the noon hours. My regret is it is 1 star thus my electricity bills may be quite hefty. I use it for 1 full hour and as soon as the room cools down and I start needing a blanket, I switch off and turn on the ceiling fan to save electricity charges.
Maybe in peak summer 2 hours of cooling may be required. I did not trust the dealers people who were in a hurry and they did not give the room and its requirements a proper hearing. I wanted the electric connection to be absolutely proper and hence I went for professional installation. The cooling is very good. The noise is tolerable. Now I have to see the service which will be after 3 months or at the first sign of trouble. I will update this blog so that readers will have some idea. Though the MRP is 16990, I was charged 15, 999.
