I reside in Pune. I bought LG two door refrigerator, which has 4 Star power saving rating and company claims it runs without stabilizer. But this claim proved wrong when compressor blew-off when there was a power failure in my locality. When power supply was restored and I switched on my LG refrigerator, I found that its not cooling. I called up LG helpdesk and engineer visited next day.
He confirmed that compressor need to be replaced. I asked the reason and he told that its because of power failure and refrigerator could not withstand the voltage fluctuation. (All other refrigerators in my neighborhood were working fine!!! ) Now about the service....LG engineer visited with new compressor after two days. While replacing the original compressor he found that the new compressor which he has brought is not working !! He arrived again after 2 days with another compressor and this time it worked.
But during all these events I had to follow up a lot with LG service people and visited LG service center thrice !!! (which was fortunately closer to my place). LG service people kept on giving incorrect information about their engineer's visit and I could get the job done only because of my follow up and visits to their service center.
Please do not go for LG refrigerator ...better look for other options.
