I had a godrej refrigerator for last ten years with very easy handling and negligible maintenance. Then, on one fateful day I went to LG Distributor and bought LG Semi Frost Free refrigerator with 265 ltr capacity.


As soon as fridge arrived at home I opened the packing to find out that:


-its one leg was broken


-door handle was broken


-door was dented


-logo of co.was dented


I went back to distributor with these problems, he said I cannot do anything now, it will be looked after by LG service people.(Within 20 mintes of purchase)


I contacted LG service centre, branch manager, regional service manager, call centre at least 50 times.NOW THE RESPONSE.


>Branch Manager has promised me to chage the whole door.yet to be received.


>After nearly two years of purchase only one service engineer came who put screw in door handle, replace the broken leg with another defective leg.


>Then I put a complaint in Consumer Forum Helpline no, and then regional service manager came up after 3 months of complaint alongwith service engineer. They gave me all kind of  illogical excuses and then changed the dented logo of there co.(I DON'T KNOW HOW IT COULD EFFECT THE PERFORMANCE) and door gasket.Door Gasket was found to be defective because fridge does not open instantly after closing it and takes 4-5 minutes to re open in normal circumstances but now it has lost it sticky ness, loss of coolness has resulted.


>I have put complaint in service centre 20 times in last twenty days and still waiting for there pity.


Friends I ve found people with similar problems in LG products.with no satisfactory support.It is better to opt for other good options.


I respect the site's suggestion of not using addresses, names, facts etc.otherwise I ve dates and numbers, complaint no.s to prove the same.


*Mediocre product with satisfactory service should be prefered to Good product with no service.
