I purchased a GR-2211TSCG way back in 2001.
I went for this brand just because of the hype created by their advt. No one used to say the brand was bad.
But now after having used the LG products (I also have a LG TV and a washing m/c besides this refrigerator), I would say they use the worst material to manufacture their produts.
My fridge has already oout-lived its age (4 Years).
The internal walls have started cracking since a year now. The Tray beneath the freezer and the one used to keep vegetables is being made usabe using the M-Seal.
Any one would feel, I didn't take care of cleaning stuff, but believe me I always took good care of my fridge.
On the top of all this the compressor has already been changed.
The service center people are no doubt very active, they always send somebody to see but nothing concrete to rectify the fault.
The service engg. himself said that the material used is of sub-standrad quality. He said he 'll report the problem and definitely something will be done. But when I didn't recive any call from them I called the service center to be informed that the "Request has been closed since the customer had refused to pay". I was a sheer surprise as they said this is what was reported by the service engineer. I requested them to send somebody and get the thing rectified, they complied. This time the service enggineer came and reported the correct thing to the service centre. When I had made some inummrable number of calls and the service centre guy giving me a new numbers of their QA deptt. I tried each of them to be told the matter is under consideration and then in the last I was told "Since they have stopped manufacturing this model they can't do anythig about this fridge".
