Well bought this system about 6 months back. And I must say I have been blown away by the competence of LG electronics to deliver at the right price. This is a cool 3 DVD changer with mp3, VCD and ACD capability. No the most important thing... it can play cd's burnt at home and 'pirated' cd's (wait isn't burning a form of piracy.. hmmm ... oh well) if you've had problems with certain vcd's that you bought from the local store I'll describe how to get those cd's to work later.
Now the main features:
Nice sleek design with just the right amount of buttons
A demo switch to check if you've missed out on anything
A 3 DVD changer with smooth silent disk switch (rotating).
A good support to start with, they come home each time you buy an LG product to ensure u are well acqainted. (but it got bad later, read on)
A very pleasing price tag
A double deck with cd syncro-dubbing and auto side switch on one deck
A full function remote and I mean full function... especially when your watching VCD's you can recover from the remote end itself.
A nice menu display on TV while playing mp3's to allow easy track selection , this inludes a play list and randomising options... NICE!

full Dolby surround for DVD's and pro-logic,stereo and normal modes for other cd's this is great cause there is a distinct difference between all 3.
5 speakers.. wattage hmm never believe what they say but its LOUD.
It has optical connectivity for digital signals
Now the bad stuff:
Had to change the first piece cause of a prob with the deck. This process took a whole week and I had to bully them into hurrying up ... nasty
Dolby surround cant be simulated it works only if cd has 5.1 tracks but it does have a pro-logic system which isnt as good
No mic in ,so forget KAraoke
There is no memory back up .. this is lousy once you tune the FM channels u expect it to be there right.. NOOOOOOO once the electricity goes for an interval greater than 5 minutes (yeah that happens :D ) poof ! blank goes the memory and u have to retune... did it the first coule of times then I just gave up...
No time seek.. yup if u want to fast forward do it the ol fashioned way .. watch the scenes go by in 8X mode.... not too bad really but an inconvenience for the spoilt metro lad.
NO TAPE TO TAPE RECORDING... wha!! YEAH what crap huh... whats the point in having 2 decks if you cant record other tapes.. infact the label says FULL FUNCTION PRO LOGIC DECK ,full function my rear end.
The equaliser display is not too flashy infact its ordinary... sorry but I need the frills on that display and it wasnt there.
Well now for those of you who cant get some vcd's to play do this..
first switch your tv to AV mode now pop the cd in... wait for the cd icon to appear and rotate
Now the display shows 0:00 Track 1 right,
well now press play make sure that the icon on the deck display is the play icon '>' now press pause .... what do you know there is picture on TV .. YAY thats it hit play and enjoy.
