I bought this LG DVD player for 6000 bucks when every other company was selling DVD players for 3500 to 4000 range thinking that this is probably better with a 5.1 output. My nightmare started rom Day 1. The DVD player did not play DVDs!!!! It played only VCDs...Then started my rigorous follow-up with the company. They used to come over every time saying that we have a prompt service and we will help out in every which way (well, apart from fixing it!). Its been over a year now, and they say the product is out of warranty and we will charge to fix it. I really dont understand how could a company sell me a DVD player that does not play DVDs!
I do not recommend this product to anyone. Also, I would suggest that all of us be aware of all LG products now because I have noticed that after being able to establish a market for themselves, the only way they are fighting competition is by lowering quality and poor service.
