W.R.T my complaint no RNA150705011386 [LG55-6200]no display, LG logo comes up briefly during power on but sound is fine),
one repair person(Mr Kiran Kumar) came to my house yesterday 6-Jul around 16:30 hrs .
His conversation was devoid of etiquette or decency but from what he said this is a very common issue in LG TV set
and every second customer faces this problem.
Without even touching the TV he told us we have to change the display Panel and demanded Rs 45, 000/- in cash .
When we said the amount(1/3rd of the TV purchase price) is too much he demanded Rs 285/- with Tax as inspection charge.
He refused to provide any receipt nor did he have any Id Card . Let us know if he is a spurious person so that
we can make a police complaint against this fake representative .
We wonder if this problem is a known issue why shouldn't LG replace the TV set as a recall .
Please do-not charge for a new Panel, since we are your existing customer and though we understand the
whole panel needs to be changed, you can as well repair this in your premises, so we should pay only
some nominal charges .
Going thru various LG grievance websites it would seem to us that we have purchased this expensive TV set
only so that it would go defective soon with LG waiting to charge exorbitantly for repairs . Please donot make this
your source of income . No well meaning Corporate would fleece its customers after having delivered a sub standard
product .
Please have this TV set repaired by competent people charging reasonably .
