On 08/09/09, we purchased an LG  LCD, model 32LF20FRATR, from Croma, Malad (W) branch. The TV was working fine for a month and then we began to experience fluctuations in sound. it would become loud suddenly, and then it would become very low. we made a complaint on ph. no. 39010907 and they sent us a Mr. Harish Shankar Yadav from their Saki Vihar Road, Andheri (E) service centre, who came and inspected the TV.


Initially, he was not willing to admit that there is a problem with the tv, but with our tata sky unit, then our dvd player (which also happens to be an LG product) but when he tested the TV further, he admitted the problem and said he would come back with a new part for the sound. It took him about 3 weeks to return with the part and we were told that there were no replacement parts with the centre so they had to arrange for one for us. when he returned and changed the part, the problem was not solved. So mr. Yadav offered us this explaination: An HDTV is a TV where the picture is high def, but the sound is poor.


so if you buy any HDTV, you will get this quality sound only.: obvoiusly, mr. Yadav thought this was our first TV and we were uneducated buffons like him to buy his story. I insisted that he put the old part back and try again at which he became rude and refused to do so.i then reminded him that I have paid a good amount for the TV and my satisfaction is paramount and only then he replaced the old part, but he said he would not do more , his senior technician would return with the new part the following day and replace.


It. it took his seniors 1 week to come. and they tested the tv and told us that they would be back the next day. We are still awaiting their return. I recd a call from LG Delhi on 09/09/09  and I was assured of a follow up. I have yet to receive that follow up. meanwhile, my tv sound continues to fluctuate. Is it LG's policy to will make us wait until the warranty period is up and then send in their troops so they can charge for the repairs?
