Ease of Use:

It all started one fine day when out of blue I thought “How will it look like – If I color my hair Blue?”

Straight I went to my barber who was at a stones throw away from my home and enquired what all colors he had? He had all but the one I wanted – so I just bought it up from the neighboring store and let him paint my head blue – it was a great feeling till it lasted as the moment I stepped in the office next day morning – my boss called / yelled on me and summed me up straight to his cabin with “Rohit Sharma – what’s wrong with you?”. I was like “What? You tell me?” and I realized what he was talking when he pointed towards my head and said “That?”

I was like Big deal eh? My boss was a guy who had very less inside and outside his head – so was kindda jealous of me and I had to get my head colored again but this time with the usual dark brown as black would have been too normal for me.

That was it!

Within the next couple of months – I realized the blunder. I dunno what reacted inside my head and all but what I realized was that I was getting a good number of hair which were coming out of my head as plain white – exactly like the defense minister of that time George Fernandez’s head – by the ways for your information – I guess 10 years down the line I will have that kindda hair on my head for sure – I am just waiting for all of them to turn white. I simply love those all whites. It looks so Kool! I have achieved at least 60% success by now by using all those hair colors – starting from Garnier and Ending on L’Oreal today.

When I was using the Garnier my hair were like very hard and they hardly moved with the wind and at times I felt like I was wearing a wig – whenever I checked them out on a mirror – also whenever I used to shampoo them – I was loosing something like a 50 of them at one time. But with L’Oreal it all changed. It’s damn smooth and leaves them so soft and you don’t even feel like you have used something on your head.

L’Oreal: The box contains quite some stuff – the first and foremost is the leaflet explaining how and what to do - second is a set of plastic gloves neatly packed in a small plastic box. The color in a tube plus the color developer which has to be added in it to make it more colorable. One thing more what I like about L’Oreal’s professionalism is that they do give you a small conditioner bottle with the color itself so you don’t need to run around to find one on the day you color your hair and one final thing which comes along too is a Pre Color Serum which I hardly ever use.

The only thing which I think is missing from the pack is that they should also give us a small plastic bowl and a brush. That will make it a complete package.

I’ve been using it for more then a year now and let me tell you that it just feels great. I guess this is the best - one can get as of now in the market. The day I color my hair I feel really light-headed and my hair become real soft. Plus using regular shampoo(I use at least twice a week that too anti dandruff) – it doesn’t makes a difference to the color and it hardly fades.

Quantity: It’s good enough for at least 3 times for my kind of hair. I usually keep them short since Dhoni has already gone for a cut. I guess for ladies it won’t last more than one round. Although for those who keep their hair shoulder length can have two rounds with one pack.

Price: on a little expensive side as it’s around 440/- a pack. By the way - I must tell you about the logic behind the price given by my wife to convince me that it’s good and better than Garnier at least. She said check out the difference of models both the companies are using to promote their products. Garnier comes around 99/- a pack and L’Oreal with same quantity comes around 440/- now comes the best part – Garnier Ad you see Simone Sigh(earlier it was Isha Kopikar) and L’Oreal has Aishwarya as their brand ambassador. That says a lot about their pricing. I am convinced. Anything associated with Ms Ash is worth a try as per my wife.

Application: Mix it up as per the instructions depending upon the crop left on your head and apply it gently with a small paint brush. It doesn’t matter even if you spill some on your forehead or ears as that gets washed away with water. No need for soap or a shampoo. Let it color your hair for about 45 minutes and wash it away with plain water. Don’t use shampoo immediately but the conditioner which comes with the pack and you are good to go.

Warning: The chemicals they use in making – although they claim that they don’t use any harmful chemicals but you can make out by the smell it gives while applying and during the time you carry it on your head. Its simply smells yuck! It gets on to my wife’s nerves at times while applying and even after that. But once you wash it off – its all gone. I am sure its very poisonous as by the smell of it you can tell so please keep it away from the children. Even the gloves used to color the hair should be destroyed after the use.

Personally I don’t like it anymore but have got no other option.

I will advice Mehandi over any of these hair colors for sure as that will not have any bad impact on the remains on our head rather then using these chemical based colors – yeah – they do look good and are easy to get and apply too but they harm us more then they do any good.

People with no hair on their head or no liquid inside can certainly rate this review “Not Useful”. I will have no issues with that.
