After colouring my hair, I started using L'oreal Elvive shampoo/conditioner for coloured hair. Ive written a seperate review for the conditioner which was a pretty good product, so here I'll only discuss the shampoo.

I found it a little expensive (Rs152) for 200ml, though it was cheaper than the conditioner. Being a very creamy shampoo, when diluted with water, a liitle goes a long way and can last for more than 2 months. The smell was very odd though , it reminded me of starch water or boiled rice ! Also I always felt it never cleaned my hair well enough, it still felt a bit sticky afterwards, even after lots of rinsing. Still, when combined with the conditioner, it definitely made my hair colour last longer, and the colour retained its vibrancy. The conditoner has a strong, fresh fragrance which sort of covers the shampoo smell.

In short, a good shampoo for preserving hair colour if used with the conditioner, but not so good on its own, or for a proper hair wash.
