Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi is supposed to be one of the most popular and watched serial on the Indian Television,but I fail to understand what's so special about this so called perfect family drama.To make any film(Hum aapke hain kaun,Kuch kuch hota hai,Hum saath saath hai(The modern Ramayan)or serial a hit in India put in a lot of family values and traditions,love and respect for each other and lots of unwanted emotions(Rona-dhona)and you have a winner on hand and you are sure to impress(fool)the Indian audience.These films or serials are made to just make money coz they know that they will get the audience by playing with their emotions ,which is so disgusting.
Its not that ,i don't watch the serial but I don't find anything impressive in it so to speak.I find it rather foolish and impractical and an insult to the intelligence of the people.The characters(esp Mihir,Tulsi,J.D,Ba,Hemant) are so unbelievable and sweet.In this fast paced and selfish world where do you find such people who are all there for each other.I cannot identify with these characters.The screenplay and story is poor and the direction is extremely shoddy and the way the director handles certain situations is immature.And as far as acting is concerned,if what Mihir(Amar Upadhay) does is called acting than God forbid!Just watch his facial expressions in the dramatic scenes,and you will feel like laughing.Tulsi (Smriti Malhotra)has nothing better to do than cry.The only one I like in the serial is J.D(Dunno his real name).
There is nothing left in the serial but Ekta Kapoor seems to be dragging the serial no-ends.Firstly she made Mihir die,then she brings him back and to stretch the story a little further she brings Mandira in too who falls for Mihir and thus becomes pregnant which makes Madam Tulsi furious coz she cannot tolerate her husband being shared by another woman(In real life she is supposed to have married an already married man whose wife recommended her for the serial.What double standards!).Then we have the wicked Payal who wants to desperately become the bahu of Virani khandaan,and she has nothing better to do then come to their house,gossip,create a rift among family members and go.And the family members are so innocent that they have to believe everthing Miss payal has to say(ridiculous)to them.And finally when everything has been leaked out about Payal, Ekta kapoor has brought in a new character Pragya and is continuing with the serial.
But will Ekta kapoor stop fooling the audience,now?I hope some sensibilities prevail in her and she stops the serial gracefully coz you cannot possibly fool all the people all the time.
I think its better that people take up some social problems or issues and make some serial on it and hence make some contribution to the society.Why do they always have to take advantage of the audience and make a fool of them?
