More Fun, More Enjoyment and More Satisfaction are few of the things that a viewer - who has long waited – expects from the sequel of his favorite movie. ‘Kung FU Panda 2’ (KFP2) delivers all of them with more exciting actions, few more funny and impressive characters introduced – all with the voices of famed Hollywood stars, better colors, good storyline that follows the plot of KFP1. Add to it all, the brilliant 3D effects (it’s what the real 3D effects are, it’s nothing like Pirates of Caribbean 4, 3D was just for the name there, add to it the nuisance one has to live with while wearing the goggles for 2 + hours.. complete headeache of for rest of the day..).
What more could I have asked for!! Nothing I guess. So I found myself very content after 90+ minutes of KFP2, found it much better than KFP1 and all credit goes to the plot, characters, and extra ordinary actions delivered with a punch of 3D effects that could only be done in an animated movie. Forgive me, if I have forgotten to mention about the funniest one liner that KFP2 have like the Po says (So ..Here is my biggest enemy… The Stairs..).
Coming to the story now: Lord Shen (Gary Oldman), heir to the peacock race that rules Gongmen City, on knowing the prophecy that in future a warrior of black and white would defeat him(reminds of Mama Kanss Ha Ha), orders the killing of all the pandas from the empire and exterminates the race. But one mother Panda, succeeds in saving his baby panda by hiding it in a vegetable box (in Nirupa Roy style). That Vegetable box is delivered to Mr. Ping – a goose - (James Hong), who adopts Po and raise him
as his own son . Years after that Baby Panda grow up to be our very own Po – The Dragon Warrior (Watch KFP1 to know it all in detail).
After about same number of years, Lord Shen –who was exiled from the Gongmen City for his misdoings – is ready with a new kind of weapon (cannons) he has developed to take back his empire and also to end the Kung Fu forever from the Face of China and the world. But don’t be under the misconception, Shen himself is a great Kung Fu Warrior and has a big and dangerous army of Wolfs to support his cause. So, Po, the Dragon Warrior, and the Furious five now have a dangerous task at hand, of stopping The Lord Shen from taking over the China and also to give Kung Fu another Chance. And with all that, Po has an additional reason to demolish Shen.. Any Idea.. how can you forget ?? Shen almost wrecked his race years back.. But before all that Po must find his INNER PEACE as that has a great role to play in the climax. :)
So what happens, do they- I mean Po and Furious five, not Shen and his wolf army - succeed in their mission? Will KFP2 be the end of Po and Kung Fu? Of course they do succeed and Kung Fu lives forever..otherwise how will we get the KFP3..right ?? … So,what matters is how they do it. Watch KFP2 to know it all, as you won’t believe me If I did tell; as it involves quite unbelievable action and adventure that can only be enjoyed and believed on screen and that too in 3D, Take my Words on it.
It also set the stage for KFP3 by depicting Po’s father – who also senses his sons presence someway - as alive in some hidden village inhabited by other pandas.
So, Now, What you are waiting for?? Get your tickets reserved, before its off the big screens.The way the story is build keeping every facet of KFP1 in mind and grows on it is awesome. Character of Lord Shen (Gary Oldman), extra loaded bucket of actions delivered with 3D effects and funny one-liners are few things that make KFP2 better than its predecessor.
P.S. : In Product Details section, my response is "No Commentl" for all, as KFP3 belongs to no particluar genre and all the parts of the movie are best and its best to watch with anyone.. esp kids and family..
