Kuch Tum Kaho Kuch Hum Kahe is from the banner Suresh Productions, directed by Ravi Shankar and Music by Anu Malik. As usual a viewer can expect nothing but family story with flowery sets.

The cast includes Fardeen Khan, Richa Pallod (a new comer), Vikram Gokhale, Fareeda Jalal, Govind Namdeo, Sharad Kapoor, Rameshwari (the Sunayna Girl after a long time), and many others. The movie opens with a debate between two village heads on repairing of a Dam. Government engineer suggests that it would be better if a hole is drilled on to the side of the dam and the water is released failing which there are chances of the dam getting damaged which would result in severe loss to the entire village. One of the village heads Vikram Gokhale agrees to it whereas the second Govind Namdeo and his son Sharad Kapoor are against drilling of a hole in the dam as it may ruin their crops. Both the village heads are against each other. Vikram on the insistence of Panditji decides to perform his 60th birthday and invites all his relatives for the same. Vikram’s wife Fareeda remembers her dead son and longs to meet his family. On coming to know Vikram decides to call for the family of his son also. Abhay (Fardeen) is the grandson of Vikram, Abhay comes to the village with his mother and sister. His grandma is very happy to see him whereas his grandpa is very stern and not willing to talk with Abhay or his mother & sister. Abhay decides to win the heart of his grandfather. He starts mixing up with Mangala (Richa Pallod) who is the grand daughter of Vikram. Abhay befriends Mangala and slowly their friendship blossoms in love. Abhay learns from the house servant (Ashok Saraf) that the feud between his grandfather and Govind is prevailing for more than 25 years and in fact Govind Namdeo’s wife is his grandfather’s sister.

The fued started when Abhay’s father refused to marry Govind’s brothers daughter (Sharad Kapoor’s sister). Abhay’s father is in love with a girl in city but having no courage to tell this to his parents he gets engaged to Govind’s brothers daughter. However on the day of marriage he leaves a note and goes out of the village. On coming to know his would be bride commits suicide. On coming to know about the suicide Govind starts abusing Vikram which leads into clash of the villagers. Rameshwari’s (Govind Namdeo’s daughter) husband is killed in the clash and from that moment both the families are against each other. On coming to know the about this Abhay decides to unite both the family. He organises for a temple visit and sees to it that both the family proceed in the same boat. At the temple he leaves one of his nephew’s in the temple premises and walks away. The kid starts crying and he is seen by Govind Namdeo and his family and they carry back and hands over the kid to Vikram. Abhay uses many such methods to create soft corners in the heart of both the family heads. Once Govind gets stuck amidst wild elephants and Abhay rescues him from the elephants. He also persuades his grandmother to go and invite Govind and his family for Vikram’s 60th birthday. Slowly both the families starts liking each other and forget the hatred prevailing for such a long time (Wah kya baat hai pachees saalon ke dushmani ko hero ne dus din mein khatam kar diya) and they unite back. On uniting back that the relationship between both the families which was spoilt in a marriage could be set right with another marriage and they decide to get Rameshwaris son married to Mangala. Abhay comes to know about the proposal and he keeps quite as his main purpose is to unite both the families (even at the cost of his love) which was torn apart by his father. When Mangala comes to know of it she tries to talk to Abhay but he says that he never loved her and he only played pranks with her. However Mangala comes to know of Abhays love by reading his diary and she also comes to know that Abhay has refused to acknowledge her love for the sake of uniting both the families. On the day of marriage she writes a note and goes away. Abhay informs this to Ashok Saraf and proceeds to the station to bring back Mangala. At the station he is confronted by Sharad kapoor and his men and he is beaten up by Sharad Kapoor. At the marriage venue Vikram gets wild on Abhay thinking that he has eloped with Mangala. Vikram and Govind comes to know about the fact only when Ashok Saraf tells them about the love between Abhay and Mangala and the sacrifice made by Abhay for the sake of both the families. They run to the station by the time they reach Abhay is stabbed by Sharad Kapoor but a hero of Hindi film rarely dies, he is rescued and united with Mangala. That’s Kuch Tum Kaho Kuch Hum Kahein Hey whats wrong with Anu Malik his music is becoming from bad to worse. Humne to Poori Kahani keh di Ab aap apna COMMENT Kahiye
