Kuch Meetha Ho Jaye is one of the films which are good to watch if the decision is made outside the theatre in the last fifteen minutes. This impulsive touch will work wonders when you watch this movies, especially if you are paying for it. Kuch meetha ho jaye has the entire script revolving around a single airport at Ganganagar where some passengers get stranded due to some technical problems with the plane. In the lead we have Arshad Warsi and Mahima where Arshad Warsi is shown to be madly in love with Mahima who is married to Gul- a writer. Warsi has over time converted into an alcoholic airport manager cracking jokes and being his own jolly self. The script has around four or five couples facing their own relation problems and stranded at an airport for an entire night with nothing to do but face their misunderstandings. This makes up a very light but effective premise for the movie. Though the script does justice to all the characters it could definitely have been better put. The movie seems a bit drag at some point while otherwise there is a clutter of characters which makes it hard to keep a tab on all the action. Comic scenes between Warsi and Jaspal Bhatti are well timed and seem natural. But the same can't be said about the rest of the cast. Personally, the scenes where the two cousins fight over an Italian 'Dulha' seem too much of a drag to even appreciate the effort. The movie also houses some actually well put scenes like the one where Mahima has her makeover. That scene coupled with Arshad Warsi are the only saviours of the otherwise okie-dokie film. The debut couple seems good together and their efforts are well enough for their role. Music seems fine. The touch of Indian music to ''Aane do.. Anne to do...'' gives a perfect score for Warsi's devdas experience. Other numbers are light as expected by the title but they do wonders for the script. Though it could have dropped one or two songs without any regret. So overall, its a fun movie where all you have to do is to be in that place and enjoy the movie without trying to reason with any of it. Moreover if you are a die-hard fan of SRK then well, have you got a treat!
