Kuch ya Sab Kuch? Now that is the question. I am back again and this time I am attempting to review a very old movie that does not go away. This movie keeps coming back, and some one or the other keeps wanting to watch it.

THE PLOT.

Girl and boy are best friends (Girl is a Tomboy, let’s call the girl just that and lets call the boy, crybaby!). They play together, laugh together, cry together and thankfully nothing else together. There is a lot of singing and dancing and cheating in basketball, or so the game is called.

Sexy girl enters, sorry, big backside full of fake attitude new girl enters, who is by the way the daughter of the principal, who in turn is flirting with a college professor, who apparently is not being paid enough (that is why the skirts are so short, lack of material!). Back to new girl, lets call her ‘short role’ (for a couple of reasons, first she had nothing to do in the movie, and so they killed her, and secondly for all the ‘short’ dresses she is wearing in the famous ‘koi mil gaya dance’)

Crybaby falls in love with short role. Twist in the plot, Tomboy with all her wicked matrons instigation falls in love with crybaby. Moreover, when she finds out that he is in love with short role, she drops college and goes back home.

In the meanwhile, another twist, crybaby and short role marry and have a baby who they name Anjali, a namesake of tomboy. Then short role dies (she had to, there was no other way that crybaby could lust after and tomboy and go to the extent of breaking her marriage).

Hey, here comes another twist, some how short role leaves a series of letters and a huge burden for the baby girl to fulfill. The task being, to unite tomboy turned home girl with cry baby who will not stop doing drama.

Oh God, another twist, Tomboy is engaged to No Role!!!

Well If I tell you anything more then you will not be able to see this movie, and that would be a damn shame now wouldn’t it? :):):)

THE CAST.

Tomboy – Kajol.

Cry baby – SRK.

Short Role – Rani.

No role – Salman Khan.

Other cast members include that damn irritating kid who plays the daughter. The star counting kid, who has since been exploited until the audience got sick, Farida Jalal, and Anupam Kher who have done their best, as far as the dead script and the glycerin.

God forgive me I was going to commit a major sin, I was forgetting Johnny Lever, the great actor who has given us so much that all of us agree that he should stop acting and go home and relax.

MY TAKE

First, all the instigation directed at a girl who is happy the way she is, but nooooooooo!!! How dare she? It is important to make her believe that she is in love and when her heart is broken help her pack her luggage and leave for home, in the middle of the college year. After all, who cares if the other person finishes college or not!!!

Secondly, what is the damn use of asking your daughter to unite her father and his first love, after you are dead? If you knew in the first place that, they were in love then why did you marry him and have a kid with him. Is this some sort of sick twisted joke? Trusting an eight year old to unite two retarded grown ups. Are you kidding me?

Hey tomboy, if you knew that you were still in love with crybaby then why agree to marry ‘no role’ at all?

Moreover, will please some one stop the damn trend of crying through the movie, it is very irritating to say the least. Is it not enough that India is having trouble dealing with its internal and border problem? Do you have to establish a depressing setting all the time?

With all the twist in the movie it became as boring as a roller coaster meant for two year olds. I think it is time the industry took a break and has a brain storming session to come up with something more tolerable if not more original.

Last but not the least; will these 30some actors please stop playing college type roles? Whom are they kidding? It not only looks pathetic it makes for one big huge embarrassment for the public. Give up already, and make way for the younger generation to step in, and anyway those clothes are too tight for you anyway.

The only good parts that I remember about this movie are as I mentioned Farida Jalal and Anupam Kher. In addition, Kajol looked really pretty in the latter part of the movie, in which her acting is more believable as well. And Mr. Salman ‘Shirtless’ Khan has done a short but ‘shirt full’ role too. That is he has managed to keep his shirt on this time phew!

One word of advice, Johnny Lever gets worse and worse as this movie progresses, and please do I need to mention Rani Mukherjee’s extra fat, extra short dresses and Mr. SRK’s Muscle shirt. What in the world happed to sensible and practical dress designing?

.CONCLUSION

I saw this movie twice, once by choice once by compulsion. You can see it once if you want, but please leave your brains in the freezer before you watch this movie, because believe me it would rather be frozen than be put through this torture!!!!!!
