I have booked my luggage and car, from Hyderabad to Gurgaon by Kuber Packers and Movers at Hyderabad. They said they would send the car in a car trailer and they have their company's own vehicles and they don't use any third party.
My luggage reached me on time, but not without damages, like the refrigerator got dented, Washing machine got scratched, my computer table had no wheels, my mattress in a pathetic shape, my cupboard dented and lost its paint at various places, etc to name the least. When prompted, they had this reason that these are minor things... and that would happen for which a user should not bother much. When I refused to pay a portion of the remaining part, they had this goon like attitude.
When inquired about the car, I always having this fixed answer whenever I called, will reach by tomorrow evening. They promised the car would be sent in 8 days, and when the car arrived, it passed 16 days. It was given to third party called Tridev Containers, and when Tridev containers called me, they said the car is not starting, so they wanted me to receive the car at their office. After a lot of argument, they agreed to send the car to the nearest showroom.
I personally went to the showroom to check its state, and the extent of my car's damage was such that the engine got jammed, the pistons got broken down, turbo charger got damaged, and so is the pressure pump. The whole bill went up to Rs.1, 35, 000 after replacing half engine, turbo charger and pressure pump. Initially Kuber agreed to pay the whole bill and on the final day, they paid me only 35, 000 and left the rest to me.
Numerous number of calls went unanswered, and when answered were not satisfactory. Imagine the amount of plight I must have gone through. I wish I had proceeded legally, but since I had taken the delivery, I probably stand no chance of lodging a complaint. (I was not aware of not taking delivery of the car in such a case).
Imagine receiving a damaged stuff which you love the most.
Today, I wish I had taken some better packers and movers, may be Agarwal, or Leo. They are expensive, but at-least they are professional, and accountable.
Finally, beware of Kuber Packers and Movers.
