Superhero meets Typical Bollywood Masala. That, in a nutshell, is Krrish, a sequel to 2003's blockbuster hit Koi mil Gaya..Krrish has everything desi about it, except of course the packaging is very videshi. The soul is Indian, the exterior western. Yet ,it works and how!

Krrish is one roller coaster ride that brings back memories of the super hero cinemas like Spiderman /Batman / with non-stop entertainment being the sole mantra!

Director Rakesh Roshan has penned a story not targeting those who wear their thinking caps while watching a film, but those who enter a cinema hall for unadulterated, paisa vasool entertainment. Where logic takes a backseat and all that matters is three hours of non-stop entertainment. His target audience is the hardcore masses and it shows at the very start of the film.

Besides, the narrative is laced with incidents that are clapworthy. Like the sequence when Hrithik rescues Priyanka from falling off the glinder or the scene like effect when Rekha confronts Hrithik and reveals the truth.

If the first half has its share of fun and frolic, it changes gears in the post-interval portions, when the focus shifts to scientst and his evil plan. Though the second half has several thrilling moments, the pace drops slightly because soon after the interval, the story stagnates but picks up with gusto when Sharat Saxena appears on the scene.

The pace further gathers momentum when Naseer murders the duplicate Krrish. Even the climax, though prolonged, is brilliantly executed, especially the fight between Hrithik and Naseer.

Rakesh Roshan also deserves marks for keeping the audience interest alive, courtesy his screenplay, where he shares the credit with Honey Irani. There are no loose ends in the film, barring the one reel soon after the interval, when the pace slackens slightly.

Rajesh Roshan's music is a major asset. And the icing on the cake is that every song has been filmed amazingly. The pick of the lot is 'Dil Na' . The orchestration of this number is magical and Hrithiks dance is first-rate. The chori chori track as well as Dhoop are two more gems, in terms of tune as well as execution.

Cinematography is top class. Not only has the lensman made the characters look fabulous, every frame of the film has been given a glossy look. Dialogues are fantastic. . Stunts can easily match international quality and the usage of effects only enhances the outcome. Editing is perfect. Effects are outstanding.

Now to the performances!

Krrish reinforces your confidence in Hrithik. Portraying a super hero , the actor gives his best shot and delivers yet another power-packed performance. Another performance that stands out is that of Naseer. Priyanka looks like a million bucks and her on-screen chemistry with Hrithik is fantastic.

Finally, Krrish reinforces your faith in Bollywood commercial cinema. The film is a wholesome entertainer that has something for everyone. Go for it!
