A major revolution for Bollywood. Review on Krrish

Krrish has set and example of progressive cinema that breaks the image of a usual stereotype. The film is an ideal package to satisfy a cinegoer, an impressive cast, grand look, an excellent second half, well executed stunts, popular music , which will quench the thirst of an Indian movie lover, thirsting for wholesome entertainment.

Rohit and Nisha (Hrithik Roshan and Preity Zinta) are married and have a child but die in a car accident. In Krrish, Krishna (Hrithik Roshan) is born with magical powers - a legacy from his father, Rohit Mehra.

Krishna who lives with his grandmother, has extraordinary strength and speed and loves the mountains. He lives a fearless life and enjoys his freedom in the Kasuli forests where he soars across rivers and mountain tops.

Here enters Priya (Priyanka Chopra), who has come to the mountains for a trek from Singapore. Romance is in the air and the two fall in love, but soon Priya returns to Singapore leaving behind a heartbroken Krishna.

However, unable to stay away for too long, Krishna leaves for Singapore to woo Priya back. Here our desi superman gets a chance to display his powers when he rescues some kids from a raging fire. Overnight the masked man becomes a hero.

He also uses his power to destroy evil scientist Dr Siddhart Arya (Naseeruddin Shah), who has ambitions to rule the world.

Krrish is a daring attempt by director Rakesh Roshan who has surpassed the Bollywood’s filmmaking standards in presenting the story of a Super hero. It has all the important technicians from Hollywood – right from cinematography and stunt co-ordinators .Krrish is packed with some decent action sequences. Money has been well spent on some real gravity defying stunt .

Cinematography is simply brilliant. One can see a perfect marriage of editing and photography with sharp cuts, different camera angles and some dramatic perspectives of Singapore.

There is plenty of wit and humour without trying too hard to be funny. The dialogues are natural. Actors perform effortlessly giving the impression of life.Hrithik Roshan and Naseer have performed their roles faithfully well. .Priyanka and Rekha are good.

Yes there are few drawbacks but that should not scare away anyone who wants to see Hindi cinema at the juncture of a major revolution. Krrish will remain an unforgettable and major step in the evolution.The film has taken a historic start at the box office and expected to collect 60 crores within seven days!!
