KRISHH---THE SUPER ZERO. Review on Krrish

Krrish is supposed to be the first Indian superhero (Bollywood would be a better term to use here). But unlike his western counterparts he has nothing unique. He was never bitten by a spider, never took a red pill but he sure did find a mask. Since there is no story in the first half of the movie, the only thing one can comment about is the look of it. The striking resemblance to the choreography in crouching tiger and hidden dragon cannot be missed. The first half of the second half again has no story and so is not worth a mention. By this point the maker of the movie tells you and reiterates it several times over that bournvita is the secret of his energy and that tide keeps his clothes white(or black?) Then u see a ray of hope appear when you finally see a story emerging after 120 mins of the movie, which only leaves you wondering why it dint happen an hour ago. But if it had happened an hour ago, you would have had to go home and watch an hour of ekta kapoor shows to get the same headache you got for free by sitting through 2 hours of the movie. And from the there the story goes on to a very predictable finish, forcing you to think if the story was written by Hrithik's 2 year old son. If you watched the first movie and did not like it, there is no reason for you to even think of watching it. If you like the first one it will still be a good idea to avoid this one if you dont want to reverse whatever good feeling you had about the t the movie. It would be a stupid idea to waste your weekend over this movie. The only thing that would be more stupid than watching this movie would be to watch it in the PVR

The movie starts with grand mother Rekha, who has 2 streaks of gray hair on her head but has a designer bun with half the hair gray, discovering that her grandson was a prodigy just like his dad. So if your 6 year old son can divide 96 by 3 and tells you that your brain stopped growing 20 years ago, you might have a superhero growing in your house and make sure that you put him through an oral IQ test to get it certified. Then she decides to take him far away from an unknown enemy and raise him in some valley on the himalayan range. The kid soon discovers his magical powers and is disliked by his peers for the same. One fine day the kid decides to race his horse back home and by the time he reaches his home he turns into a full

grown man and in the process he also decides to grow an extra finger on his hand just in case he needs an extra one. This is the scene where our hero runs bare chested showing off his muscles that would probably make most teenage girls go weeeeee and make the movie their monies worth. Our superhero has a superhalso has a superhorse that has the superpower of not growing with time. Our superintelligent superhero mistakes a skydiver for a kite and decides to run it. That is when Priyanka Chopra (already forgot her name in the movie) falls from the heavens straight into his arms. Then he pretends to be a ghost and manages to fool people who are so dumb that they can only be hired by a media house run by a cigarette maker. He then drinks his bournvita, washes his clothes with Tide, which for some unthinkable reason is placed right in the middle of kitchenawre, and falls in love with her. By the end of the first half priyanka finishes her 10 day trip and reaches office another 10 days late. To save her ass she decides to pretend to love krishna and get him to Singapore and put him on TV and earn millions.

Krishna goes to his grandmother for permission which she denies. Then to justify her fears she tells him the story of his father. His father, a genius himself, was invited by the head of the world's largest s/w company to work on a project that would be able to predict the future of a person by combining astrology, astronomy and computer science. The genius father builds a computer the size of a room to do this in just 2 years. It is important to note that it is clearly mentioned that he worked on it day and night for 2 years to complete the task. Amazingly, by some sort of a miracle, his wife in India gives birth to Krishna despite that fact that her husband has been away for 2 years. It sure is possible but what is more amazing about this is that the son looks exactly like his father. The only logical explaination is that it takes 2 years to give

birth to a superhero. But unfortunately the father dies in a fire accident and soon the mother dies of ... well she just dies. Unfortunately the director dint want to end the movie here, so he lets the grandmother permit our superhero to go to singapore.

Since no airline agreed to partner the movie Krishna directly reaches the outside of the airport. Soon after he reaches Singapore Priyanka tries to capture his heroics on film to be shown on her channel. But unfortunately she is not lucky enough to do it. Then our superhero performs his usual humanitarian duties which are mostly things copied from movies like batman, matrix and the mask. Some of the stunts that he performs are probably things even stars like mithun and balakrishna couldnot pulloff. One fine day he goes to the great bombay circus with his lady love. Unlike the circus we have here, the great bombay circus has a typical bollywood dance number. Then an unfortunate fire accident forces Krishna to turn into the masked man Krrish. After performing a few superhero stunts to justify the theme, he finds out the truth about his lady love's love and decides to go back home. He is then stopped by a stranger at the airport, who claims to be his father's friend and tells him that his father was still alive. He tells him that the s/w tycoon had to keep him alive as the computer that was destroyed by his father could be run only by him. A scientist rebuilt the system from scratch in 20 years but for some reason even this could be authenticated only by the father. If you have ever watched a movie before you would know what happened next. If you have reached this line and are still considering watching the movie, you need medical help.
