Balaji Films latest offering is ?Krishna Cottage?,which is again a thriller/love triangle story after ?Kucch To Hai?,produced under the same banner,which couldn`t succeed,at the box-office.
Will Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor, succeed this time? This is a different thing, altogether. This film is being given a very different treatment from the previous one. In the trailors, you hear someone shouting or a message saying ?always finish a book?before the book finishes you??.
This time, even Ekta Kapoor, is not giving so much hype to her latest film, what she did with ?Kucch To Hai?(except for in the serial ?Kasautii Zindagi Kay? there was a mention of ?Krishna Cottage?).Coming to its music, it's an O.K, album, in which one can find some good songs. This is not a memorable ?filmi? music album, but definitely good enough, that you can listen to it!

THE SONGS:
1.?Bindaas?-Shaan, Sunidhi Chauhan:This song will easily remind you of ?Ding Dong?,from the film ?Kucch To Hai?. This song has the same beats as that one, but it is still very entertaining. The singers have done their job very well.Sunidhi Chauhan sings the song in a very different way. By different, I mean to say that her voice doesn`t sound so modern in this song, as per the theme of this song.She doesn`t sing in an English accent, but sings in the way she did in ?Sajna Ve Sajna? from ?Chameli?. She says ?bindaas?, in a great way. Shaan, is no less, either. He does his job,good as well. Even he tries to sound different this time. He is rather copying K.K, but never mind,he has done a very good job.The song contains some English words, like ?I feel like grooving?.COOL!COOL!COOL!?.
The song is picturised on Sohail Khan and Natassha, on a beach. Though, Natassha seems to have gained a lot of weight, still she looks good.
2.?Suna Suna?-Shreya Ghosal:This one is a ?ghamgeen?(sad) track, but still it is pleasant. The song has different lyrics, from the usual Bollywood filmi songs and Shreya Ghosal, has sung this song, very well. Though, this song doesn't recreate her ?Jaadoo Hai Nasha Hai?(JISM) magic,still one can't say that she hasn't sung it well. This song seems to be used in background music because the trailors prove that this is not a lip sync song. It will be good if this wouldn`t be a lip sync song,because if such a song is relegated to the background,it`s much better.
3.?Uff Yun Maa?-Shaan,Sunidhi Chauhan:The lyrics for this song by Sanjay Chhel are very ordinary and the music by Anu Malik also has nothing much special,as well.Actually,this song is weird.Also,repeating,Shaan and Sunidhi Chauhan,in the album,together,again,is not a good idea.This time they sound repetitive,leaving the listeners get bored.Another problem with this song is that a male singer singing a song which goes like ?Uff Yun Maa?,seems sissy.Skip this track!
4.?Hameshaa?-Vishal:Vishal-Shekhar,the duo from ?Jhankaar Beats?,is back in this album,as guest composers.Vishal sings this song,where as Shekhar writes down the lyrics of this song.This song will easily remind you of ?Tera Muskuraana? and ?Tu Aashiqui Hai?,from ?Jhankaar Beats?,still you will love this song,because it is,to an extent,a mixture of these two brilliant songs.Shekhar`s lyrics are also well penned.After you will listen to this song,you will hum it all the way.Listen to this one!
5.?Aaju Main Tum?-Kumar Sanu,Alka Yagnik:This song will remind you of the 90`s.Remember the Govinda-Karishma Kapoor song ?Main Toh Raste Se Jaa Raha Tha?,from ?Coolie.No.1?.This song seems outdated in today`s,modern times.Also,when this film looks like a modern one,such a song,I think is not suitable to be included in this album.The singers,Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik try hard to make this song,entertaining,but when the listener will get disinterested,then even the singers will sound disinterested.
These are the 5 tracks of this film.The film doesn`t seem to be a ?musical? one,that`s why there are only 5 tracks,here,where as normally,there are 8 tracks in an album,but never mind,there are 2 additional tracks,included in this album.The first one is ?Rang Rang? from ?Bollywood/Hollywood? and the second one is ?Laila Laila? from ?Samay-When Time Strikes?.
ON THE WHOLE:
?Krishna Cottage?, album, is not disappointing at all. There are 3 really, listenable and good songs, out of the total 5,that`s why I rate this soundtrack,a 3 out of 5. You won`t regret, if you buy the album, but don`t expect it to be an excellent one.Small expectations can always give you high satisfaction,that`s why don`t have any high expectations from this one.If you don`t go for this one,check out Anu Malik's, other latest film albums, ?Main Hoon Na? and ?Murder?.
